Howdy everyone! I am back from the convention and I'm pretty pooped! The con went well and was mostly a photoshoot and chill out con for me.
Getting to the con was a nightmare cause I hit rush-hour traffic on 90/94 and it put me back about 2 hours, but I still managed to arrive before my entire room. So I ate dinner and got drunk at the bar and chatted with all the people there. I didn't cosplay this day because of how late we go into our room but I did find out that ACen was doing on-site registration on Thursday (Which I didn't know they had started doing) so that was a pleasant surprise and I got a badge! (I honestly wasn't expecting to get a badge this weekend because I can't deal with the 5+ hour lines.) So I'm really glad I got to get a badge.
Friday I cosplayed Vidia. I got out the door by 11 or 12 I think because I had a photoshoot at 2 with and Rensuchan Photography. Both shoots were super fun and I cosplayed with and for the shoots. There were some prop mishaps but overall I think everything worked out really well. Afterwards I changed into Sailor Venus and hung around the Hyatt for a while with friends until I just couldn't stand being in a costume anymore. Then drinking happened.

Saturday I woke up late, which felt nice, and hit up the dealer room and bought a wig from Arda because WIIIIGGGGSSSSS. And I wasn't sure if I was going to make it in again that weekend since I didn't have time at all on Friday. The dealer room was really big and totally filled this year and I was super impressed with it! Good job ACen! Anyway I went back and changed into Meg around 12:30 and got out of the room at 2 pm cause I wanted to try and catch the Disney shoot for a second. I haven't been to a mass meetup photoshoot in a long time so I figured why not. I met up with as my Hercules after that. Unfortunately my Hades wasn't able to cosplay with us that day so it was just the two of us instead of three. We got food and attempted the dealer room again but had a hard time moving around because a lot of people wanted our photo. Which normally I don't mind, it's why I'm in a costume. But I'm afraid I got kind of snippy to a few folks because people were constantly asking for photos while I was trying to get to food. So If they see this, I'm sorry. I get pretty snippy when I'm hungry and well, I was famished at the time. But moving on... We had an AWESOME shoot with and I ended up laughing so much I started crying cause is a funny derp. After the shoot we milled about and eventually needed to change cause Herc's armor was chafing and my wig comb was threatening to merge with my skull. So I changed, drank sake with my friends and attempted to get into the rave... which didn't work. So I hung out with some more friends who hadn't seen me in forever (this was the con of everyone going "OMFG YOU'RE BACK. WHEN???"
Sunday was mostly shopping. I got a Sailor Moon wallet and it's totally adorable. I'm super happy that Sailor Moon merch is in the dealer room. It wasn't really available in Japan yet when I left so I wasn't doing the whole "I could have gotten that for like $10 in Japan" thing that I was kind of doing for all of the other figures and merch in the room. Ha ha.

That's kind of what happened. Not a long con review cause I didn't do much of anything other than take photos and wander around and drink sake. I am really excited to show you photos from the shoots though! They'll hopefully be available in a few weeks!
